There once was a horse. It was really high. And sitting atop was this girl. She thought she had it all figured out. The education system needed teachers that were better trained. If that happened, everything would go right. These teachers! All they did was mistreat their kids and deliver bad lessons. And then that horse gave a furious neigh and threw her off. Probably a descendant of a teacher horse. At ground level, she saw that there was so much more to it than just teachers and children. Parent investment, support from the management . These were things she slowly began learning of. Children go for tuitions in Std 1 !! She was shocked. And then she stumbled across Teach for India. They were giving her an opportunity to walk two years in these teachers shoes. To see if the right changes in training, investment of students, parents, management and a multitude of other areas could change the face of Education in India and put an end to educational inequity. She pounced at the opportunity.
And now she’s walking in their shoes.
